Taking the Gospel to the Streets of Houston
In December 2014, the street team of LWFC kicked things off on Antoine, in between Little York and Desoto. We came across many different people, giving us a deeper understanding of how much the community needs us standing firm in our faith, and sharing that same faith with them in love. During our time on the street we talked to people drinking, smoking marijuana, and a same sex couple holding hands. Its obvious that hope is needed in the community. A living hope that saves and changes from within.
Sharing the Gospel and Christ’s love to those in our community was also a blessing to us, as we were obedient to Gods command in the Great Commission. The 12 evangelists that went out on December 28, 2014 were encouraged by the Holy Spirit and filled with joy as they passed out tracts and CDs, and also sharing their testimony, displaying to those we came in contact with, how God can save the worst of sinners.
Through the grace of God we were able to witness an eleven year old receive Gods free gift of salvation, as her mom and sister stood close by. We invite all who would like join us in reviving the neighborhood, and bring in Christ to were He is so very much needed!
