What Is Fellowship?
Fellowship means companionship or partnership and communion with others on the basis of something held in common. (Acts 2:44) Fellowship is designed to promote the interpersonal caring and sharing of God’s people one-to-another as an outgrowth of our fellowship with God. (Matthew 22:37-40;Acts 2:42)
Genuine fellowship does not take place when believers are not growing spiritually. It is when a person is growing in relationship with Christ that makes relationships with other believers meaningful. (Galatians 5:22-25)
Food Service Ministry
Our team, under the leadership and direction of Chef Delores Jones, provides food services at all scheduled and assigned events designated by Pastor Brooks and the Leadership of Living Word Fellowship Church.
Menu items include snacks, dinners, buffet church picnics or whatever is required for the occasion. We try to make all food service activities fun and enjoyable for everyone. No one leaves hungry.
If you have a servant’s heart and enjoy food, then we invite you to join us.
The Singles ministry at LWFC is designed to minister to the needs of all single adults, regardless of their background. Singles are taught how to use God’s Word as a tool for successful single Godly living.
Core Ministry Objectives
- To teach Singles that God’s Word is sufficient for a victorious life (2 Peter 1:3)
- To encourage Singles to live a life of sexual purity (1 Thess 4:3-4)
- To exhort Singles to represent Christ in daily living (2 Corinthians 5:20;1 Peter 2:9)
- To build Godly relationship with other single believers
- To win souls for Christ through evangelism and discipleship (Matthew 28:19)
Young Adult Ministry
Our mission is to minister to the varying needs of college students and young adults by helping them make the transition from home into adulthood. Through that effort, we help prepare them spiritually, emotionally, psychologically and economically for service in God’s Kingdom.
To establish relationships with high school Juniors and Seniors to help prepare them to make wise decisions regarding their future and help their transition into adulthood less traumatic.
To offer outreach programs that will train minds and spirits, as well as prepare them to be leaders, contributors and producers.
To train Young Adults how to wisely handle financial resources and invest
time, money and energy into themselves, their future, communities and the Kingdom of God.
The Silver Stars are extremely active group! Believers aged 55 and over can participate in local field trips, fellowship within the church, and even take special trips and cruises. There are also many volunteer opportunities on special projects as they arise.
