Welcome to Living Word Fellowship Church

Living the Word…Changing Lives

Our ministry vision is to develop a loving community of believers of Jesus Christ who, through genuine relationships, unite for celebratory worship focused on glorifying God through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We equip and establish these believers under the authority of theinerrant Word of God for the purpose of experiencing God daily. We empower members to reach unbelievers holistically and work with churches to impact the community and the world for God’s glory..

Becoming The Church Jesus Intended

The church is not a building. It is the spiritual living breathing body of Christ – called out individuals who collectively demonstrate the love of Christ through earthly activities.

At Living Word Fellowship Church, we believe that authentic worship grows out of a true relationship with the living God in Jesus Christ. Once you “know” God, you are expected to grow in your understanding of Him through Bible study, worship and connections with other believers involved in ministry activities. Then we go and share the good news with our families, communities and the world through service; using our unique gifts and abilities.

Living Word Fellowship Church has a variety of ministry and service opportunities available to you regardless of your level of spiritual maturity.

Becoming A Member of LWFC

New Member orientation is held every month on the 1st and 3rd Sundays. This is a one-time class whereby you will learn more about the church’s vision, its ministries and service opportunities. Members of the ministry team will be available to answer questions and share the vision of the church.

To become a member of LWFC you may come forward during the invitation given at the 9:45 am Sunday services, complete a Guest card and place it in the offering box, or call the church office and inquire about membership.

Following the 9:45 am service, visitors are encouraged to gather in the Visitor Reception room on the East end of the main foyer. We have ministry volunteers on hand to answer any questions you may have regarding membership. Need more information? Contact Duane Lawrence, Associate Pastor at (281) 260-7402 during church office hours.

About New Members Ministry

The New Members Ministry functions to shepherd those wanting to become members of our church. Its principle function is to minister to the needs of new members and to assist them in assimilating into the life of the church. “So the churches were being strengthened in the faith, and were increasing in number daily.” (Acts 16:5). Ministers, elders, deacons, and volunteers take part in the process. From the time someone steps forward to join the church until the time they receive their certificate of membership and are introduced to the church family by Pastor Canning, we guide them through the process and see that their needs are met. We, in this ministry, are blessed to help bring the Lord’s sheep into the fold.

New Members Ministry volunteers meet quarterly. The coordinator holds additional periodic training on procedures to update current volunteers and to train new ones. The New members Ministry leaders meet on an as needed basis.

The New Members ministry provides a structure that enables those wishing to join the church family with the information and support they need to grow in their walk as Christians as they join a body of believers in God’s Word. The Ministry holds a New Members Orientation Session once a month.

The qualifications for joining this ministry are simple: Be an adult church member who loves to meet and interact with all kinds of people with the goal of shepherding them into our church family.
